IOTA came to us to improve their customer journey and how they sell online. Previously they ran two separate websites - one for retail and one for trade - but this caused confusion for visitors, in addition to considerable SEO issues because of duplicate content. We proposed a single domain solution that divided the two product offerings, with clear user journeys for each.
Built using Opencart open-source eCommerce software we built a vast number of custom features to improve the platform. This allowed us to avoid having potentially bloated code - often associated with plug-ins - and meant that we could keep the platform highly-secure. Some of the custom features we created to improve the customer experience, were a drop down mega menu, product filters, ajax add to cart, and three step checkout.
Since our original build we have continued to work with IOTA, regularly updating the website’s functionality, as the business has grown and their requirements changed.
